The South Bristol Arts Trail is open to everyone, and is a family friendly weekend celebration. This year the Trail will be taking place on 20 & 21 September in venues across Southville, Bedminster and Ashton.

Wander your way through the streets of BS3 and discover new artists, favourite local venues and creatives that might just surprise you. You’ll be able to find over 140 local artists who will be exhibiting in around 50 venues. Artists will be opening their homes and studio spaces to you, as well as exhibiting in shops, cafes and community centres.
Maps – Use your paper or digital map to help you navigate the Trail. The guide contains short bio’s of all artists involved, the workshop timetable, info from our wonderful sponsors and the all important Map to help guide you around the Trail.
We have a good number of fully accessible venues and we encourage walking or cycling between venues where possible.
Use the key at the bottom of each page of the map to find:
- Venues that are step-free and have wheelchair access
- Outside artwork that can be viewed from the pavement
- Toilets
Lots of the free workshops taking place this weekend have great tactile materials involved and are a pressure-free way to begin accessing and enjoying art.
Large Print Maps – Large print, simplified versions of our Arts Trail Map can be picked up at The Southville Centre, Beauley Road, BS3 1QG. Whether you have limited sight or use a screen reader, we hope these larger print versions will be helpful to guide you around the Trail.
Workshops & Performances – As well as a brilliant selection of exhibiting artists, we’ll have a wonderful workshop schedule lined up for you. Check back in July for full details.

Getting Here

We recommend walking, using public transport or bicycle to visit the Trail, as parking in the area can be a little cosy.
If you do need to come by car, please be aware that some streets across BS3 have a residents parking permit in place, some of which still operate on weekends.
